Meanwhile, the winningest players in college basketball history--Antonio Anderson, Robert Dozier, and Chance McGrady--completed an unbelievable run at FedExForum over these last 4 years with a 64-39 de-pantsing of Tulsa for the CBS audience and tournament committee. Memphis fans are going to miss them dearly. Their class included early departures Shawne Williams and Chris Douglas-Roberts as well. It's safe to say the Class of '09 made the Memphis program what it is now.
So the Tigers sit at 31-3 with 25 straight wins, 4-2 record against the RPI top 50, an undefeated Conference USA season for the 3rd straight year, number 8 in the RPI, S.O.S. of 55, number 1 in Ken Pomeroy's ratings. I admit it's a borderline case for a number 1 seed, but I think it stacks up pretty well this year.
