Bubble Battle Royal

Virginia Tech just violently dropkicked Miami off the Bubble, Minnesota knocked Northwestern out of the ring, and some outside interference from Louisville has left Providence clinging to the apron for dear life.

Translation: Just two hours into the day's action, and here we are:

  • Miami - OUT
  • Northwestern - OUT
  • Minnesota - Likely In
  • Virginia Tech - Alive and kicking
  • Providence - Barely alive

  1. yeah alright, so Provy is likely out. Tough task for the lil engine that could: beating a Louisville team that deserves a 1-seed in the tourney.

In an effort to grasp for straws, Baylor's win may help the Friars, since the Bears beat Providence earlier in the season. It's nice to see Jerrells and co. play up to their potential. But this game had huge implications for Kansas. With this loss, the door is open for Mizzou to capture the first-round pod in KC along with Oklahoma. Kansas will now likely have to trek to Minneapolis or Boise, which increases the chances of an upset by...Northern Iowa?
